Roberto, Alessandra, little Pablo, and their two puppies welcome you!
Our story begins with the memory and image of a mother knitting with needles, "tic tic toc tic tic tic..." and as she pulled the yarn from the ball, she drew a short and very fast arc in the air with her forearm. Everything came from a wicker basket, full of her colorful yarns, many types of wool: thin, thick, and even red.
We believe that each of us carries our own personal red ball of yarn throughout our lives, and its thread intertwines with those of all the people who cross our path, creating a beautiful, gigantic, and wonderfully chaotic red ball that tells the story of the world and our own.
If you followed our red threads, you would see Alessandra's starting from Milan, Roberto's from Cremona, and our son Pablo Luciano's from Genoa, all coming together at La Pimpinella di Semifonte in 2019, in the Scheto Valley, in Chianti Classico, in the province of Florence.
The Scheto Valley, in Chianti, Tuscany, is small. It's lovely to imagine that when, many years ago, someone decided to create a valley, they started shaping gentle hills, then added streams, cypresses, olive trees, vines, maples, acacias, and oaks, a multitude of animals like wild boars, deer, fawns, squirrels, hedgehogs, and many others, and then sprinkled it with 1,000 flowers, and finally said: Spectacular!!!
So, we thought we should set up a house for ourselves and make it possible to host a large number of people to show them this wonder.
Our goal is to live in a place that is still human-sized, to raise our son in a stimulating environment where cultures, people, and ways of thinking meet.

Gli ultimi 1800 metri per arrivare alla Pimpinella sono di strada bianca. La strada non è adatta a macchine sportive molto basse.
Raccomandiamo inoltre di andare a bassa velocità per non disturbare chi abita nelle vicinanze.
The last 1.800 meters to reach Pimpinella are on an unpaved road. This road is not suitable for very low sports cars.
We also recommend driving at a low speed to avoid disturbing local residents.
